I
have had the pleasure of directly instructing Jacob Dick in two graduate classes
on computer applications for educators and assisting in a third class. This has
given me over 150 hours of direct contact time to observe and interact with
Jacob. I serve as a Site Coordinator and Adjunct Faculty for
Jacob
has demonstrated continued enthusiasm and capacity in challenging himself and
the students that he instructs. He has added to his extensive repertoire of
skills and methodologies to improve his own methods to better the way he
challenges, motivates and assesses students. Jacob has shown the capability to
take new technologies and successfully integrate them into his teaching
practice. Whether it is writing web pages or producing PowerPoint presentations,
he is able to combine these skills with his other teaching methods and add them
to the variety and scope of how students learn and demonstrate knowledge in
class. Jacob also has demonstrated a clear goal of how learning is accomplished
in his classroom and how best to implement curriculum that provides a solid
foundation for his students.
Jacob
also has had the opportunity to assess and write technology planning documents
as part of his Master’s degree. He has clearly demonstrated the ability to
learn, adapt and apply theoretical concepts to real situations.
I
gladly and enthusiastically recommend him any professional pursuit he seeks. He
will make an excellent addition to any team of professionals. Jacob will be able
to demonstrate all of the qualities that we look for professionals, the ability
to lead when needed and the capacity to successfully adapt when challenged by
new and diverse opportunities.
Sincerely
Peter
