To Whom it May Concern:
I
am writing this letter in support of the candidacy of Mr. Jacob Dick for the
position of Assistant Professor of Computer Science. I have known Mr. Dick for about two years in my capacity as
Superintendent of the Cedar Grove-Belgium School District.
Mr. Dick has been employed as a Middle School mathematics teacher for the
past four years.
Jacob
has been a highly vocal advocate of and an educational leader for technology
during his tenure with us. He has
provided staff in-services in the use of e-class, digital cameras and scanners.
He also is a major resource in the District for various applications such
as Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint and the Internet.
In
addition to working with staff, Jacob also uses technology extensively
throughout his classes. He has
developed many web quests for his students with specific tie-ins to his
curriculum. From an instruction
standpoint Mr. Dick has done an outstanding job in working with students.
He has developed a strong rapport, which allows him to get the most out
of his students.
Presently
Mr. Dick is finishing his Master’s Degree in Educational Technology through
Cardinal Stritch University. He
hopes to translate his love of technology into a position that maximizes his
passion for technology with his love of teaching.
For this reason I feel Jacob would be an ideal candidate for your
opening.
If
you would like to speak with me further about Jacob’s candidacy, please feel
free to call me at (920) 668-8686 Ext. 500.
Sincerely,
Michael
